Steel Storm is an old school top down arcade shooter with score oriented competitive gameplay, and is designed for people who like fast paced action and have limited amounts of time to play computer games. Game from  small Indie studio Kot-in-Action.

Being made using DarkPlaces engine, the game shines with unique visual style and runs on Linux, Mac and Windows platforms.

On HotHed Games forum user Nod51 asked about Linux version. Unfortunately answer given in the name of HotHead Games by user Gregoran is not positive for us.

Hi Nod, there are no plans at this time to bring DeathSpank to Linux. Sorry we can’t support Linux like we did with the Penny Arcade games!

Frictional Games has published on their blog summary of sale rate in one month after released Amnesia: The Dark Descent

So, with one month of data to analyze, how did things go? I think it can be summed up with: Better than expected on all accounts! As of today we have sold a total of 36, 000 units (including pre-orders, but excluding boxed sales in Russia), and our goal, which would determine if we would continue or not, were 24,000. Having met and exceeded that goal already feels quite nice. Frictional Games will live to create another game!

Wildfire Games has published the second alpha release of it’s main product 0 AD.
This is an open-source project which reminds Age of Empires in game-play, but has astonishing 3D graphic.
Program is still in it’s early phase of development and it is missing both computer AI and campaign. Nevertheless you can already play in multi-player mode and check yourself in confrontation with human opponents.

Unigine corp. developers of upcoming game Oil Rush released new in-game screenshots.  It’s possible the game interface will be changed a little bit before the release.

They mention the minimal requirements for GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 or ATI Radeon 2600.

Mahjong 3D on Linux it’s a game that don’t happen often. Ukrainian  gorup Opensource Game Studio just made one.
OGS Mahjong offers:

• 3 tiles types  (classic, Linux distros and  Russian military medals)

• 3 additional packs with music ( Eastern, Modern, Piano )

Multi means multi-player. What is Frogatto ? We didn’t introduced this game yet but we promise to write full review as version 1.0 is already out. Briefly saying, this is a open source platform game with gorgeous retro graphics. Main character (Frogatto)  jumps and runs trough levels, trying to avoid monsters. Game on PC don’t cost at all but if you want it on iPhone/iPod touch you can get it in the Apple App store.

Currently game is only a single player experience. Authors announced that multi-player is in development and it will feature 3 modes

• Race – whoever first finish level wins,
• Deathmatch
• Co-op

You can ask, why another site about Linux games ? well, why not ? We are aware that there is a few sites already and maybe helping them is a better option, but we are stubborn and we want doing stuff our way. Well we are going at least to try.

OilRush is a real-time strategy game based on Tower Defense gerne.

In a post-apocalyptic flooded world there are two things running short: oil and time. The last survivors in a desperate desire to seize control and dominate the enemy have started the naval warfare that turned the whole world into one large battlefield. In these harsh and cruel times, oil is thicker than blood.

Oil is the main resource in the OilRush world. In exchange for oil you can buy additional defence turrets and make high technology researches brings you more advanced defence and more powerful attack weaponry, including nukes.

Battle groups are formed of several unit types: various ships, aircrafts and submarines. Choose them wisely since you will be struggling against different kinds of enemy defence.
